Terms of Service

1. About Dark Minds

Dark Minds provides online psychological personality assessments for entertainment and self-reflection purposes. Our assessments are not a substitute for professional psychological evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment. Results are based on self-reported responses and response timing data.

2. Membership and Billing

Dark Minds offers a membership with the following pricing structure:

• Trial period: $4.99 for your first 7 days of full access
• Monthly membership: $19.99 per month after the trial period ends
• Share offer: Share your result on social media and pay $1 additional for your first full month, then $19.99/month from month 2
• Standard path: $19.99 charged automatically on day 8 and every 30 days thereafter
• Share path: Share your result after trial and pay $1 additional. $19.99 then begins on day 31
• Standard path: You will receive a reminder email on day 5 before the day 7 charge
• Share path: You will receive a reminder email on day 27 before the day 31 charge

3. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your membership at any time before the trial period ends to avoid being charged the monthly rate. To cancel:

• Log in to your account and navigate to account settings
• Click "Cancel membership"
• Your access continues until the end of your current billing period

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 7 days of the charge.

4. What Your Membership Includes

• Full access to your complete dark personality profile and analysis
• Access to all currently available assessments in the Dark Minds library
• One new psychological assessment delivered each month
• Access to your historical results and progress

5. Assessment Results Disclaimer

Dark Minds assessments are designed for entertainment, self-reflection, and general psychological curiosity. They are not:

• Clinical psychological evaluations
• Medical diagnoses
• A substitute for professional mental health care
• Scientifically validated instruments in the clinical sense

If you are experiencing mental health concerns, please consult a qualified mental health professional.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your membership access with others
• Reproduce or distribute our assessment content without written permission
• Use our service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or copy our assessment methodology

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Dark Minds including assessment questions, result descriptions, profile types, and site design is owned by Dark Minds and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Dark Minds is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to decisions made based on assessment results. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to any claim.

9. Privacy

Your use of Dark Minds is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify active members of significant changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Trumbull County, Ohio.
